Urban Resort Showa-no-Mori, a subsidiary of Showa Aircraft Industries, developed a resort-style, urban luxury hotel tucked away in the tranquil Showa-no-Mori Forest in Tokyo's Musashino area.

UCI's scope of work ranged from nomenclature of the hotel, F&B facilities and their visuals, operational room collaterals, and design manuals. The signage planning and system were handled by Toshio Takeda of TCI, and the team's efforts were extended to identities for the affiliated golf course, sports center, and shopping mall.

During the initial site visit prior to the construction of the hotel, Urano was inspired by the visual interplay of rich foliage, sunlight, and birds which were indistinguishable from the leaves.
